Yogic Diet – Veggie Pasta Topping

One of my main sources of protein is nuts and seeds.  I throw them in to everything from smoothies to pasta sauces.  Below is a recipe that I have worked on recently.  I think I finally have it down.  I use a lot of already chopped veggies to cut down on time.  I do not measure so you will have to approximate amounts.

  • ghee
  • garlic – diced
  • onion – chopped

Sautee garlic and onion in ghee.  Add:

  • mushrooms – sliced
  • broccoli slaw – prepackaged in the produce aisle of any grocery store.
  • grated carrots – 1
  • raw sunflower seeds
  • raw cashews

Sautee until tender.  Add:

  • 1/3 c. prepared bruschetta
  • 1 T. prepared olive tapenade

I throw all of this over a brown rice pasta with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.  I make sure any premade sauces have minimal sodium content.  This can also be made with an already prepared pasta sauce like Amy’s Organic Marinara.  It is a great way to get a ton of veggies into the body.

    remember about massaging the knees as they have to do with water sodium balance in the body. This is in the set for getting shock out of the body. Sat Nam!
